The Sault Tribe Thrive program was established in 2019, funded fully by a multi-year Minority Business Development Agency grant. Sault Tribe Thrive provides business support to Sault Tribe member owned businesses through outreach, advocacy, and business consultation initiatives.

Sault Tribe Thrive leverages an expansive support network of regional service providers including, the Small Business Administration, Michigan Small Business Development Centers, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, Michigan Inter-Tribal Council, Northern Initiatives, EUP Regional Planning & Development Commission, MEDC, as well as county and city EDO’s across the 7 county service area.

• Assisting with access to capital
• Assisting with access to government contracting
• Job creation and retention
• Supporting infrastructure needs for growth and sustainability
• Attracting Tribal member-owned businesses to form or relocate to Tribal lands
