DeMawating Development is a property management company and an economic enterprise of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.  It is located on approximately 130 acres of Tribal trust land and 22.5 acres of Fee Simple land in Kinross Township, Chippewa County, Michigan.

DeMawating offers market rate residential rentals to the general public and serves all income levels, primarily serving an affordable housing population who work within a 40 mile radius. With the recent acquisition of a competitor’s asset portfolio, DeMawating has increased the properties available to lease to over 400 units. DeMawating offers 2, 3 and 4 bedroom duplex units, and 3 and 4 bedroom single family homes. Rental rates range between $425 to $700 per month plus utilities.  DeMawating has full, on-site staff, including 24-7 maintenance available for all their properties.
