Commercial Development oversees all non-gaming Sault Tribe Enterprises wholly owned by the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians. The Sault Tribe EDC has seen recent growth in this portfolio, with new businesses acquired, startups launched, in addition to traditional tribal business operations.

Midjim convenience store has two locations in the Upper Peninsula, Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace. They offer gasoline, cigarettes, beer, wine, and other items. MidJim C-Stores provide Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians tax discounts on gasoline and tobacco purchases.

White Pine Lodge was acquired by the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians EDC in 2019. It comprises a 48-unit hotel, expanded C-Store, and Sunoco gas station in Christmas, MI. White Pine Lodge offers clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodations for any stay.

Founded in 2019, Sault Tribe Business Solutions bridges employment gaps for tribal enterprises with temporary staffing. Team members are cross-trained across various tribal enterprises. The enterprise is expanding in response to growing demand.
